In early 2024, KEFINO Studio set out to create its first furniture piece. The aim was to design a colourful, bold, and playful coffee table mimicking how our hands hold things.
The design was the GRIP coffee table.
In the context of sustainability, this design is an expression of our desire for physical objects that are close to our hearts and what it means to hold on to them.
The KEFINO GRIP coffee table is a striking piece made from powder coated tubular steel. The steel is carefully bent and hand-welded into a rounded, organic shape that grips a voluminous tabletop, accommodating thicknesses up to 85mm.
The tabletop offers versatility in its shape, being rectangular, rounded or pill-shaped. The KEFINO GRIP Coffee Table is not only a functional centrepiece but also a conversation starter, embodying the essence of KEFINO's design philosophy - combining simple shapes with artistry, usability, and bold colours.
The GRIP coffee table is not just a design concept; it has made its debut at Dutch Design Week 2024 in Eindhoven as part of ISOLA Designs "Forms Unfolding" exhibition.
