In a digital-first world, the art of the physical display is becoming a lost craft. Magazines were once the cornerstone of the coffee table but are now fighting for survival, reinventing themselves to remain relevant in a sea of screens. This shift makes the way we treat our printed media even more vital; they shouldn't just be tucked away, but celebrated.
Precision is key
Enter this stainless steel shelf table: it is a piece designed to elevate your reading material from a stack to a centrepiece. Crafted from 2mm precision-bent stainless steel and finished with discreet welds, it’s a study in minimalist architecture. Though it consists of only two primary parts, their execution requires absolute accuracy.

Designing it involved striking the right balance between the proportions of each section. The lower section has a 25 mm deep shelf for displaying an A4 magazine, while the upper section has a 25 mm deep shelf for holding A5 magazines or books.
Beyond its primary function, the table’s silhouette creates a deliberate "carved out" void in the center; a minimalist stage for everyday objects. Tucked between these levels lies a more discreet storage nook, encased by the precision-bent steel of the upper and lower shelves, designed to keep essentials within reach but softened from view.

The two primary steel components are welded at the critical touchpoints where the shelving meets the backing, ensuring that despite its visual lightness, the structure remains inherently grounded.

The Final Word: More Than Just a Surface
In a world of endless scrolling and digital clutter, there’s something genuinely refreshing about the weight of a magazine in your hands. This stainless steel side table doesn’t just give you a place to put your coffee, it also allows you to display magazines and books in the way they deserve.
By combining the industrial toughness of 2 mm stainless steel with an almost weightless silhouette, we have created a piece that showcases your collection and celebrates the joy of reading. It’s steady, precise and sure to turn heads.

Whether we stick with the raw stainless steel look or eventually pivot to a lighter aluminium version, the goal remains the same: to create a permanent home for the things that usually get tossed aside. It’s an invitation to slow down, put your phone away and actually enjoy the view.
